The liftgate rides on carriages in two rear posts. Stowed, it stands folded up against the back of the trailer and closes the upper opening. It folds down, the chain stays hook to its outer corners, and it lifts to the upper deck. The gate is shorter than the X1; it carries both wheel pairs and the tail overhangs. X1 geometry is the SkyRacer model in its folded pose, with the engine and external powertrain lines removed.
